Description
Special events are often a cornerstone of communities no matter where you live, bringing people and families together. Whether a festival, fair, or fundraiser, these events often include alcohol sales and service. As prevention professionals we can work with event hosts and venue owners to ensure a safe environment for all who attend.
This course will review how to begin this process by working with your coalition and partners to conduct a risk assessment, and take you through the components and steps to develop and implement an event policy.
Objectives
In this course learners will:
- Learn to conduct a special event risk assessment
- Identify components of a special event policy
- Discover the process for developing and implementing an alcohol sales and service policy for a special event or venue
